When I was growing up, books with main characters who looked like me didn’t really exist. And when they did, they were often reduced to stereotypical nerdy or comic relief roles.

That’s why I’m incredibly passionate about South Asian stories written by South Asian authors. I believe in putting your dollars behind the stories that matter to you, sending a clear signal to publishers and authors, and shouting from the rafters that we want more!
